Ella Speaks 2023 - Backup Version

Through Ella Speaks, we celebrate each other, knowing that the generations past sacrificed so much so we could be here today and that our actions are for those who come next. Our cousin Ms. Doris Washington and her husband are examples of this, their activism earning them a space in the National Museum of African American History and Culture. We thank them for their hard work and the example they set!

Many have worked hard for years in a variety of fields and are now enjoying the well-earned season of retirement. We applaud them for jobs well done!

While we cannot all be here in person, we are together in spirit. Perry, our oldest male family member, wishes that he could be with us and sends his love. And we send our love right back to him! We know that all physically absent are near in their hearts.

So we invite you to come and celebrate in these pages the lives, milestones, and achievements of our family. And know that when you have something to celebrate, we want to hear so we can share in Ella Speaks.
